Designheads is a profile series featuring members of our community and their relationship to the world of design.
A special feature for us here at Designheads/Pink Essay! We’re excited to feature our good friend Naomi Accardi, a talented writer (she has her own substack, which you should absolutely follow) and creative consultant who splits her time between Italy and the US.
Naomi’s feature is particularly special for us because Naomi has interviewed our Pink Essay creative team (David Eardley and Matt Pecina) on two separate occasions for Salone del Mobile.Milano and Cult Classic Magazine, and both features do such a wonderfully personal job of telling our story.
A true expert in her field, Naomi is an interdisciplinary genius with a specialization in intersecting the world of sports with other aspects of culture, and serves as the Editor-at-Large of Season Zine, and revolutionary football/fashion-centric publication that works to counter the mainstream narratives around the sport, which often exclude marginalized communities.
We’re forever fans of Naomi, and lucky to have her be a part of our world. A true designhead, here’s Naomi’s take on our list of queries:
